How we do things at Bradshaw Advisory - our cultural principles

We hold ourselves and each other accountable for demonstrating the Bradshaw culture through our actions every day. This document describes how Bradshaw Advisory does business, how leaders lead, and how we keep our clients at the centre of our decision-making.

  • 1) Have fun

    We are serious about doing good work but we have fun along the way.

  • 2) Set high standards and stick to them

    There are too many consultancies overpromising and under-delivering. If it annoys you it likely annoys others. Be the change you want to see. Our product is premium - ensuring quality is vital. Benchmark ourselves against the best.

  • 3) Accountability

    Hold yourself and others accountable for the quality of work they do. People improve with regular, clear and helpful direct (well explained and justified) feedback. If you make mistakes, own them and sort it out. We reward based on merit and high performance is recognised. The best person for the job will always be picked.

  • 4) Take ownership and risk

    See challenges (and opportunities) through to close/done and overcome the hurdles along the way. Don’t pass the buck when it gets hard. Be creative to find solutions. Ask for help if you need it. Risk is required for reward and you are backed to take (educated and calculated) risks.

  • 5) Bias for action

    Speed matters in business. Unnecessary dithering and delay costs money and is annoying. Many decisions and actions are reversible and do not need extensive study. We value calculated risk-taking.

  • 6) Have backbone

    When we disagree we respectfully challenge each other and clients, even if it is uncomfortable or awkward. Once a decision has been made, get fully onboard.

  • 7) Be a lifelong learner

    Embrace ambiguity and spot opportunities within it. Be open minded and ready for change. Have a thirst for knowledge, learning and continuous improvement.

  • 8) Deliver results

    Go above and beyond to deliver outcomes for the business and for clients. Be creative to show we are different.

  • 9) Earn trust

    Listen attentively to clients and colleagues, speak candidly, and treat others respectfully. Build relationships where people trust you to deliver.
