The UK and US have an outline of a ‘economic prosperity deal’ (a mini trade deal), but the details are limited. This agreement is also intended to act as a blueprint for further iteration between the two countries.
We also have the AUKUS defence agreement which is now being reviewed by the US.

The Hon Kelly Ann Shaw
Partner, Akin
The Hon Kelly Ann Shaw is a partner in Akin’s lobbying & public policy practice.
She was previously a Trade Adviser to President Trump where she was one of the key architects of the administration’s trade, investment, energy and national security policies. Kelly Ann was also the United States’ lead negotiator (Sherpa) for the G7, G20 and APEC, and a key negotiator of the US-China Phase One Deal, among others. She was also deputy-head of the National Security Council.
She is an appointee by the US to the USMCA Chapter 10 Dispute Settlement Panel Roster.
She is recognised as one of the world’s leading international trade, global economics and national security advisors.

Sir Crawford Falconer

Sir Crawford is a world-renowned trade expert and former Second Permanent Secretary and Chief Trade Negotiation Adviser at the UK’s Department for Business and Trade. With over 25 years’ experience in international trade policy, he has held senior roles including New Zealand Ambassador to the WTO, Deputy Secretary (Vice‑Minister) at NZ’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Professor of Global Value Chains at Lincoln University, NZ.
He led the UK’s post‑Brexit trade negotiations, including the UK’s accession to CPTPP, the Australia–UK FTA and substantive work on the India-UK FTA.

Amy Tinley
Deputy MD, Bradshaw Advisory
Amy is the Deputy Managing Director at Bradshaw Advisory. She has significant experience working across politics and industry. She has particular expertise in international trade and investment, freeports and trade agreements. She was previously a Special Advisor in the UK Department for International Trade and policy lead on the UK’s trade and export strategies.
Amy has a masters in war studies from King's College London, a degree in politics from the University of Exeter and a mini-MBA from the London School of Economics.

The Rt Hon Sir Liam Fox

Sir Liam is a former Secretary of State for International Trade (2016–2019) and Secretary of State for Defence (2010–2011) in the UK. He was the UK’s candidate for Director General of the World Trade Organisation.
For over a decade Sir Liam ran the Conservative Friends of America Group with strong connections into the Republican Party. He was a Conservative member of parliament for more than 30 years.

Ileana Ros-Lehtinen
Senior Policy Director, Akin
Former U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) served for almost three decades as a member of Congress representing diverse areas in South Florida.
She was the first ever woman to Chair the House Committee on Foreign Affairs where she led on pressing foreign policy issues, including championing the advancement of freedom and democracy for all, fighting Islamist extremism; supporting free trade agreements with Colombia, Panama and South Korea; and imposing sanctions on human rights violators in Venezuela.

Hunter is co-leader of Akin’s lobbying & public policy practice, bringing more than 20 years of law, policy and advocacy experience to clients.
Hunter served on Capitol Hill as Chief of Staff and Legal Counsel to the fomer Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY). Hunter brings a deep understanding of the intricacies of the legislative process and extensive experience working with members of the Senate and House on wide-ranging issues such as tax, trade, appropriations, health care, labor and sports law.

Prior to this, he worked as the Head of Government Relations and Communications for Leonardo UK, Strategy Director for the Scotch Whisky Industry and was a political consultant for a global public affairs agency.
