Paul Chamberlain
Paul is a Associate Director Economist with 20 years experience including in the Government Economic Service (GES) and as a Senior Civil Servant in DLUHC (leading on the development of their appraisal guide).
His experience in the GES spanned a number of policy and analytical roles covering taxation, housing, planning, local growth and local government issues.
Since 2016, Paul has worked in Local Government and economic consultancy including as a supplier for Homes England’s Strategic Research and Economic Analysis Framework (2022-2024). He also works part-time for Swindon Borough Council as an adviser on heritage-led regeneration. He gained invaluable experience working with public and private partners to deliver residential and commercial developments and was instrumental in bringing a university to the Town.
He has been involved in both the evaluation and production of business cases for bids to the Local Growth Fund, Housing Infrastructure Fund, Future High Streets Fund and Town Centres Fund.
